I've been promoting products via clickbank for some time and find that it's just too competitive. Whether I'm competing with PPC or simply trying to generate organic results, there are tons of listing for the same product. I'm looking for an alternative to clickbank. Can you recommend some?

I've been using Clickbooth and it seems pretty good - lots to chose from. I've had some success with these products as I believe fewer people know about them or realize they have affiliate programs. Give it a try.

There's always "Commission Junction" They're almost as big and maybe bigger than ClickBank. The last I checked, they make the venders pay the affiliates directly or something like that. You can get the money to go direct to your PayPal account. Competition is everywhere on the interenet. I think the competition problem with ClickBank, if any, lies in the way items are marketed via PPC. The ClickBank products don't seem to conflict in any worthy competition. It's the method of selling is usually PPC, Articles or Email. It's your job to find the pulse of all of that and go beyond the competition. New vendors don't help that situation. New vender merely give new products that are usually hashed over material made new. It sounds like you need to go beyond your competitors with new selling technique.

Paydotcom.com

provides good exposure and cash Flow for several of my Clients

You can easily become a Vendor or Affiliate..
Less difficult than Clickbank to be a Vendor.

Thanks for the tips everyone.  I've tried PayDotCom and Commission Junction.  I feel like Pay Dot Com really didn't have a broad range of products that I could sell in a given niche.  And CJ (commission junction) doesn't seem to have a large payout.  Any other options you can think of?  I recently checked out Offer Vault.  They seem to be aggregating offers from other boards - showing you which are most profitable.  Seems decent...

Clickbank is and will be in future the biggest marketplace. Also used paydotcom but people dont like the 2 site process.

CJ actually has some good Pay-per-Lead programs. One that came on board as of the last few days, in fact, is Clickbankish in nature, but just much more legit looking, and if you are a performer, I'm sure you can negotiate a higher starting rate. And while you will not be getting %75 clickbank-style commission, you'll end up making more money in the end b/c it's pay-per-lead and you can compete and win against all the CB sale-based affiliates.

CB does not have pay-per lead probably b/c I would guess the quality of many products on CB would never monetize after a free trial activation or other lead.

I've had good results promoting all different-types of leads on CJ and Shareasale by just ranking in the SERPs for a few long-tail phrases for each product and not much else so that's what I would suggest: DO pay-per-lead programs and rank for long tails phrases. jsut don't forget that FTC disclaimer you need now.

The comments are helpful. I had the same question in mind too. I hadn't considered looking into using other tools before to promote my business and connect with other people. I look forward to other marketing tips you have to offer!

I have used paydotcom but have not had much joy.  I find click bank far better and more user friendly.  Just do your research before promoting any product.
